Dear Colleagues,

In 1953, the year of the foundation of the Turkish Physical Education Teachers Association (TUBED), the 3rd World Physical Education Congress was held in Istanbul and efforts to transfer current and academic information in the field of physical education to stakeholders were started. In line with the same purpose, the 11th International Physical Education and Sports Teaching Congress, which will be held within the scope of scientific activities organized by TUBED since 1999, will be organized by Kütahya Dumlupınar University Faculty of Sports Sciences and we invite all stakeholders of our field to Kütahya between October 20-22, 2023 for our congress.

The 100th year of our Republic, in which we will organize our congress, is also important for us as it also includes important anniversaries in the field of physical education. 2023, which is the 160th anniversary of the first physical education course placed in school programs and the 100th anniversary of the 1st Heyet-i İlmiye, where the educational policies of the Republic were determined, is also the 70th anniversary of the establishment of our Association.

As TUBED, we see it as a professional responsibility to be the voice of researchers in our country for new researchers specific to the field of physical education and sports teaching, and other disciplinary areas of sports. From the adaptation of educational modeling in any country in the world to new and creative applications, we care about every study that has been done/is being done to improve the quality of education in the field of physical education and sports.

We are waiting for academicians from the relevant faculties/schools of universities, teachers who can reflect their differences to our congress with their field studies, and independent researchers to add value to our congress. In addition, we believe that it will make a significant difference if our physical education teachers present their new and creative practices as workshops with video support. We also invite our stakeholders who have not conducted any study/research to be aware of innovations through our congress.

We especially care about this platform where our academicians who conduct field research meet with physical education teachers working in the field. We consider the "quality" and overlap with the theme of the congress instead of the numerical majority of the scientific papers to be sent by the academicians who will participate in our congress among our priorities as the scientific board. For this reason;

We hope to meet at our 11th Congress, which you will enrich with your original academic and applied studies, on October 20-22, 2023 at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, Faculty of Sports Sciences.
